Welcome to my online journal of my time here in Africa. It started awhile back as I worked on raising the support to go Africa and now I am here. I will be updating it with storeis, pictures, praises and prayer requests as often as I can. Thanks for checking it out!

Rundu State Hospital
While I was in Rundu, I visited the hospital with my friend Sarah. She is a nurse in the pediatric ward of the hospital. It is quite different from the hospitals in the states.
(first picture) - This is the emergency room.
(second picture) - This is the room for children older than five. There is also a room for TB patients, malnourished patients, premature babies and general rooms. All the beds are in one room. There really isn't any privacy.
(third picture) - The medicine cabinet. This is where the nurses and doctors get the medicine for the patients.
(fourth picture) - This one is a little graphic looking. It is showing how to be safe from getting diarrhea. The picture shows flies around someone using the toilet. Then it shows flies touching food. The last part of the picture shows someone new getting diarrhea. The point is to use the proper toilet to avoid situations like that. Sorry the pictures are so small.
