Proposal and Numbers!!!
I thought many of you would enjoy my latest experience while living in Namibia. I spent the weekend in Windhoek attending some meetings on AIDS and teaching. While in the city, I also was able to do some shopping at the mall, see Spiderman 3 and eat at a resteraunt. I went with a my friend Kauna to have my hair braided. As we were walking to pick something at her house we stopped at a store to pick up her phone charger. An elderly gentleman was sitting in the front of the shop ad he said, "Come here!" He took my hand and kissed it and said, "You are so beautiful, let me see your other hand." He saw that their was no ring and said, "Okay then, you can marry me because you are not having a husband." Now remember that I said this man is ELDERLY! I smiled and politely said, "No thank you." He then said, "Oh I see, you don't want to marry an old man. You don't think an old man will make you happy. I am too old to satisfy you?" I said, "No, that is not it. I am not ready to have a husband now but thank you." I quickly got out of there. Then the taxi driver who took me to the mall and a man standing in front of the mall asked me for my phone number and one of them said, "You are just my size!" which is a Namibian sort of pick up line. Anyway, I thought you all would enjoy these little stories! :-)
