Easter
This Easter was a lot different than any I have experienced before. I feel more like calling it Passover because we didn't do a lot traditional american "easter" stuff. We had some Easter baskets and an egg hunt for the neighbor kids but most of the passover we celebrated on Good Friday. We had a service in the morning which included the stations like we did for the youth. They are described farther down. The people around here have never really done anything interactive or introspective like we did so it was great to see them get involved. I just pray that they really took the time to seek the Lord and lay down their burdens and sins. The goal was to help them really meet with Christ. Friday evening we had a love feast at our house for a bunch of youth and a couple neighbor ladies. We had a simple candlelight dinner where we made a place for Jesus. Afterwards we read part of the Passover story and then had Communion. After that we watched "The Passion of the Christ." It was pretty amazing. Many of the youth girls were in tears and the neighbor woman we have been praying and witnessing to was really moved and was crying as well. I pray that it maybe opened their eyes a bit more and hopefully our Good Friday time helped them know Christ a little more personally. Below are some pictures of our youth passover service. It was amazing to see the youth spend time in prayer!
