The Best Meal Ever!

Our last night in Mombassa, we met up with my friend Gideon. Gideon is from Mombassa so we were walking around after buying the busy tickets for the next day. We were trying to find a place to eat but it was late. Gideon said he knew this place so we went up a side street and ate at this little place on the street. They cook the food on an open braii (bbq) and serve you at a table on the sidewalk. It was run by some muslim men. I have to say it was probably one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. The combination of the food, great company and atmosphere made it a really great night. It was so fun just getting to hang out with my buddies. I am excited that the friends I made in January last year while in Kenya for orientation are still friends now. We laughed a lot and enjoyed spending time together. The men who cooked our meal were really friendly and nice. My friend Shari even ran down the street to take a picture of a man herding goats down the street. It was a great night.
