Grade Six Remedial Class
Every couple of weeks we have a fun day in my grade 6 remedial class. Due to a mix up in communications, this particular day there was supposed to be school but not all the kids came thinking it was a holiday. I spent most of the morning hanging out with my grade 6 class and playing UNO. They did some work but most of it was just having some fun. It was great because the class is starting to really loosen up and open up in the class and this just really helped that out a lot. Many of them are talking in class and joking and smiling. I love to see them loosen up a bit. I think the best thing is that they are comfortable asking for help and telling me when they do not understand. This is a big step as most of the teachers are not open to that nor do they take the time to help the kids one on one if they don't understand. I absolutely adore my grade six class. Just this week, the math teacher told me that he is seeing imporvment in some of their work and that he will include the work that the kids do in my class when he gives them there grades. Grade six works particularly hard. They have my class three days a week as well as coming for class once a week after school.

(second picture) - Edukali and Timo. These two are a kick in the pants. Edukali is 19 years old and Timo is 16 years old. They both are showing a lot of improvement in the last six weeks.
(third picture) - Maria and Emilie. Emilie is probably one of the best students in my grade 6 class. She is a super sweet girl.
