Welcome to my online journal of my time here in Africa. It started awhile back as I worked on raising the support to go Africa and now I am here. I will be updating it with storeis, pictures, praises and prayer requests as often as I can. Thanks for checking it out!

(left) The 'internet cafe' at Scott. The top of this car was the best place to access the wireless internet. This is where I made all my Skype phone calls home!

So here are just a couple of pictures from the last three weeks in Machakos, Kenya. I will try to add more soon but it is taking a lot of time to load each picture and so all I have are these three. Thank you so much for all the prayers. The last three weeks were a great experience. I made a lot of great friends at Scott Theological College. I have great memories of playing UNO, watching movies, learning about African Culture and Worldview, visiting the mosque, learning about Islam, going hiking, a day in Nairobi and more. I feel like I am well prepared as I head to Namibia to start ministry. The Africa Based Orientation (ABO) that we took helped prepare me for the many things that are a part of missionary life. Please continue to pray as I say good bye to the friends I have made at Scott College and with the other folks at ABO. This is my least favorite part of missionary life. Pray also as I am in transition these next few days. I am leaving for Namibia and will be settling into a time of homestay and adjusting to new life. Thank you again for all your prayers. I will be writing more on this blog as well as adding some new pictures in the next few days.
