Happy Easter! I hope that you have enjoyed celebrating how the Lord died and rose for us!. It is such an amazing gift, so perfect and unselfish, and I am glad that we are able to freely celebrate the gift of Christ Jesus! I had a great Easter starting with the Good Friday Service at Central Bible. It was really simple and a great time of reflection. I spent Easter Morning with my family at my parents church, Tremont Evangelical. It was great to get to see people that I haven't seen in some time. It was a very encourageing time as well. I spent the rest of the day with friends and family and it was a great time. This being my last Easter in the states, I was really blessed by the time I was able to spend with people.

I am not working too much in the next couple weeks. My focus will be on meeting with people one on one from the small groups that I was able to speak at this last week. I want to touch base with folks after having had a time to share. I will also be sending out another support letter this week, some of which will go to new people. I am excited and nervous about these different opportunities but I know that God is good and faithful and that he will provide!

Isaiah 41:9-10 "God says, 'I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthes corners I called you'. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

The Lord has given my such peace that He has called me to Namibia and it is through Him that I go!

Prayer and Praise

*Praise for a great Easter with friends and family.
*Praise that I am paying off my car this month and that will lower my monthly expenses greatly!
*Prayer that I will be able to reach my monthly support by June, that is my personal goal
*Prayer for hearts to be open to my letters and visits!
*Prayer that I continue to spend time with the Lord daily and that I make my time with Him a priority.

Hello Everyone!

I am trying this blog thing. I don't know much about it but I hope that this will be a good way for folks to hear about what has been going on and track my progress as I prepare to leave for Namibia. Just a couple things this last week that were really encouraging. The first thing is that I was able to speak to two small groups this past week. I spoke at Paul Anderson's Life Group and to my brother and sister-in-law's Small Group from Tremont Church. Both times went really well, everyone seemed to be interested in what I was saying. :) Also this week, I recieved my income tax refund so I will be able to get the brakes fixed on my car. That is a huge blessing. I think that is all I hve to put on here for now. Below I will add my prayer requests. I will try to add to this at least once a week if not more often.

Prayer Requests:

* I need to get my next prayer/support letter out. I need the time to get it all prepared.
* I have been very busy lately and it has been good but I want to manage my time as best as possible.
* With Easter coming, I really want to meditate on what Christ did. Prayer that I am able to not only remember his sacrifice but that my heart continues to desire to be more Christ like.
